They did it. Oh my gosh what did they do. I hate my players as much as the other DM but I think I might have gone too far this time. Rather I let them go to far.
With the mysterious caretaker only offering half answers, the group becomes more confused and hesitantly enter a deal. I test their patience by purposely making things confusing. They become fixated on the idea of a new pet. Finally Edan begs his old Patron for help. I think it was at this point everyone decided they are going to kill the goddess, Silvanus.
With some Startling revelations about their host Philio the wizard the band of fools debate what their next course of action is. Sulyvahn loses an argument to Mark but still, the group continues on their original mission. Finally I get my party members freaked out just from the atmosphere.
The Fools continue their journey and are interrupted by an incredible new find and a pursuit by some of the new discovered natives. After a rather boring meeting they are allowed to continue. Not before meeting some new friends. A mysterious Wyvern rider, a Wizard, and a group of Mark like automatons. Edan meets a potential family member and Alia says goodbye to Cookie Duke.
Not being on the island for more than a day the group encounters the caretaker who also happens to be a golden dragon. Alia wastes no time in fulfilling her stereotype as bard, Sulyvahn remains in awe, and Edan is given a gift that every other citizen on the island wants. To finish it off Edan tries to put his feelings out for someone he barely met.
With Damaia now gone things are a lot quieter. But as soon as the idea of finding a dragon becomes more possible some people give in to their inner chaos. Fortunately it was not destructive. The Cat people are very excited to learn more about the device they have discovered will satisfy their curiosity. Let this be a lesson to all other DMs out there of what happens if you give your players a Jurassic playground. With a little encouragement I get the band of fools to land on a new Island. While Killghara makes some new friends Damaia wastes no time in getting into some shenanigans. She never seems to learn. The Band of fools head off in their new ship excited to find what lies in store. They are instantly met with new and fantastic wonders. As well as some old ones with the return of The Dragon Embassy’s Captain: Gimbal. To finish this off the group makes a new friend and adopts a new pet.
The Gang now back together are given a new quest but everyone’s motives are under question. Ra-Arcrie, is trying to save his late wife and along the way find a way to end the Great One. What else could he have planned though? With the ability to create metal men with intelligence they could do anything.
After Surviving the encounter with the corrupted wizard the Gang takes a much needed break. Burg says his last goodbyes and tries to encourage everyone to stay strong together. It goes about as well as you might think. To top it all off Damaia tries something very questionable, not that anyone is surprised.
That is no excuse. After coming face to face with the apparent corrupt wizard. The band of fools try to talk it out. It works, they weasel out of another fight. Bruce sows seeds of doubt, Burg reassures, Damaia dips, and Edan prays. To finish it off Burg has something very important to say to his wife, Selenia.
After a long discussion with the resident wizard the Band of Fools are asked to stay put. Bruce insists on going to find his much needed seeds. While Damaia searches for a new pet. Finally everyone comes back and realize they are trapped here. Anxiety and bad decisions fill their minds. Damaia tries a new trick and Burg almost kills his new bull.
The Band of Fools following video game logic go through a portal that they have no idea where it leads. It works out surprisingly well for them as they find an entire civilization of very developed Lizardfolk. Not everything is as it seems as the people’s most powerful wizard reveals things that he would rather stay buried.
The Band of Fools finally get through the swamp. With their back to the past danger they take time to destroy the last remnant of that dark mine. Damaia wastes no time to introduce a little bit of chaos. I am sure that will not come back to bite her in the butt. In the process Burg’s shield Aegis gains sentience through a ritual purging.
Well the whole band of fools is back together, and I have never had more regrets… Trying to scare the band into doing what I want they meet a terrifying skeleton that promptly cruses Burg. The party wastes no time in opening the very evil book the skeleton was carrying and chaos ensues. It was at this point that I lost my patience for Damaia.
The Band of Fools come together in a last ditch effort to solve what I thought were some really simple puzzles. They are surrounded by a group of monsters and the only thing that seems reasonable is jump down a trash shoot. At the end of the day they end up activating this thing to find out they are in a massive body of some kind.
The band trek deeper into the swamp, and I admittedly start to lose my patience. Burg tries to get his shield to change into a new shape while everyone else takes the boats I hand them. The group heads out into a forbidding swamp. despite the nature of this place they find a friend in the most unlikely places. Willow a lost Tree spirit, who wondered in while seeking warmer climates. Just as things seem calm the group is surrounded by 4 Deathdogs. A few rounds later and some ridiculous rolls they now have a few new pets.
After being taken prisoner by the Band of Kobolds Alia learns about her potentially becoming a sacrifice to bring the Blue Dragon back. They are saved by a mysterious stranger and end up stumbling into the Dragon’s lair. Of course our Bard tries to charm her way out of a desperate situation.
Bruce Senior and Bruce Junior finally reunite with a ceremonial punching. Amelia tries to talk her way out of a shooting and ends up taking no damage as the enemies seem to be suffering from stormtrooper-itus. After all of this Edna starts to question his relationship with his God.
Time is taken to wrap up loose ends. Burg silently pops the question, and Silienia gets a bit agitated. Bruce gets his ego stroked a bit and scares some children into sharing. Last but not least the Equinox arrives and the gang checks out a pool of energy, something pulls Bruce and the Gang in. Amelia finally gets a designated baby sitter.
Edna’s starfish cat, now officially named Vered, embarks on an unlikely adventure. Teaming up with a Mimic, Dire Wolf, and Raven to find Vered’s missing companion. The group encounters the natives some wild animals and can’t seem to stop their jokes. Perhaps the only thing that will come out of this, is Burg getting a new shield.
The Gang takes some time to explore the “weird” fortress they have found themselves in. Many of them get some new equipment and Burg can’t get over how so much of this is magic but not magic. Westra teaches a robot the meaning of family. Amelia wakes up with a new look and the group a visited by some very bizarre extraterrestrials.
The Crew finally made it to the mainland!!! And many people are missing or dead… Amelia runs off in the Forest as the remaining survivors try to improve their situation. Burg tries to find Saphine the elf child. Finally in one moment everything I had played for the next month is destroyed by philosophy…
The Crew wakes to find the long boat and the idle missing. The captain is suspected of fowl play and the gang bands together to keep the Dragon Embassy afloat. Amelia dives to the ocean floor fights a sea hag and goes to an exclusive interview with The Great One. Meanwhile the gang tries to figure out what is making the water so murky.
Amelia stands on trial for insanity. Burg and Edna come to support her. All hope seems lost until Sydell comes to save her niece. The group fights off a crazed specter. Killghara kills a child in “self-defense.” Finally a ghost ship drifts towards the gang encouraging them to take a nap.
Finally the crew gets a break with the arrival of the Imbolc, however short. The gang tries to think of ways they can fight something underwater without getting their feet wet. Amelia, as is tradition, goes rogue and starts touching things she shouldn’t. To finish it off Sydell gets a knife in the back.
The Captain and his Fiancé go on deck for some King of the World moments and Amelia decides to spill into their quarters. She may have put some incriminating evidence on our resident air head. Members of the crew are developing rat fever. As Edan tries to play doctor Burg is trying to figure out what the heck to do to help Selenia and her children. To top it all off Bruce is wanting to start a mutiny.
